Munich,

established as a Benedictine Monastery.

Museums in Munich - Munich has many fine museums such
as the Alte Pinakothek, The Deutsches Museum,
the Residenz, and the Pinakothek der Moderne.
The
city has its own Stadmuseum and the Deutsches
Jagd und Fischeremuseum has the largest known
collection of fishhooks. The wonderful collection
of carriages at the Schloss Nymphenburg museum
should not be missed.
